You will need someone to drive you and pick you up from the NSC Stockton surgery center. During the Covid-19 pandemic, one person over the age of 18 years will be able to accompany you to the center, but they will not be able to remain in the center during your procedure. The person will be contacted when your procedure is completed. Masks are required at all times in the center, including the lobby area.

In the rare instance where you may need overnight stay, you will be transferred to a local hospital.

Most patients will be in the recovery room for 1-4 hours after the procedure; however, depending on your procedure, medications received, type of anesthesia and other factors, your time in recovery may be longer. Although you may be in the center all day, we will strive to make your stay comfortable and pleasant.

Center for Medical Services (CMS) which manages Medicare and Medicaid has determined that these procedures can be safely done in an ambulatory surgery center.
